A noncommutative generalization of Auslander's last theorem

In 1966 [1], Auslander introduced a class of finitely generated modules having a certain complete resolution by projective modules. Then using these modules, he defined the G-dimension (G ostensibly for Gorenstein) of finitely generated modules. It seems appropriate then to call the modules of G-dimension 0 the Gorenstein projective modules. In [4], Gorenstein projective modules (whether finite...

Noncommutative Sinkhorn theorem and generalizations

Our topic traces back to DEMING AND STEPHAN [1] who sought to reconcile an empirical joint distribution of two random variables with a priori known marginals for each and proposed an iterative scheme for determining a solution. Thus, in the case of finite probability spaces, the problem data consist of two probability vectors p0 and p1 together with the empirical joint probability matrix P = [p...

Witt's Theorem for Noncommutative Conic Curves

Let k be a field. We extend the main result in [10] to show that all homogeneous noncommutative curves of genus zero over k are noncommutative P1-bundles over a (possibly) noncommutative base. Using this result, we compute complete isomorphism invariants of homogeneous noncommutative curves of genus zero, allowing us to generalize a theorem of Witt.

Noncommutative Vieta Theorem and Symmetric Functions

There are two ways to generalize basic constructions of commutative algebra for a noncommutative case. More traditional way is to define commutative functions like trace or determinant over noncommuting variables. Beginning with [6] this approach was widely used by different authors, see for example [5], [15], [14], [12], [11], [7]. However, there is another possibility to work with purely nonc...

Index Theorem in Finite Noncommutative Geometry

Noncommutative (NC) geometry is interesting since it is related to string theories and matrix models,1)–3) and it may capture some nature of quantum gravity. It is also a candidate for a new regularization of quantum field theory.4) Study about topological aspects of gauge theory on it is important since compactification of extra dimensions with nontrivial index in string theory can realize chi...
